“A man’s beard contains more germs than dog fur” between truth and rumor

The launch of the beard for men is a kind of keeping pace with the fashion trend or from the change in body and shape,  and regardless of why the launch of the beard, studies have proven since the ancient existence of many health benefits provided by the beard of men, The hair in the chin does not change only in the shape of a man, but gives many of the positive benefits agreed upon by medical researchers, but a recent Swiss study has found facts that may even lead men with beards to  rid of them altogether. So let’s know about the details of this research.

A study of researchers from Switzerland’s private hospital Hirslanden found that the beard carries more germs than can be found in dog fur. The team of scientists collected samples from 18 male, 36-year-olds and 30 dogs belonging to 16 species, and photographed them with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to detect the presence of bacteria in men’s and dogs’ faces.

The result of the study came as a surprise, and it became clear through this scientific study that the beard of men is unhealthy compared to the fur of dogs, according to the site “Berliner Zeitung” German.

The researchers showed that beards carry a large number of germs – more than 30 “units of bacteria” – compared to what they found in the neck area in dogs. In this particular region of the dog’s body, researchers found the largest number of germs.

The samples also revealed the existence of serious bacteria on human health in the beard of 7 men out of 18 studied in the research, while bacteria were absent from the majority of dogs and found only in four dogs out of the total 30. The media quoted that Professor Andreas Jutzet confirmed that researchers found the higher bacteria in specimens taken from men’s viscera, compared to dog fur. However, although the results of the study are important, it should be borne in mind that the sample size used is very small, indicating the need for further studies on the same subject in the future.
